5 Different Ways to Incorporate Bamboo

With the green revolution going strong, bamboo has become wildly popular due to it's versatility for design and utility, along with how modest it's price point is.  The integration of bamboo into any  home or commercial decor offers a distinguishing aesthetic due to bamboo's natural and understated properties.

One of the most frequent questions we receive is, "How do I add bamboo to my current home decor?" While we've extensively covered how bamboo fencing can be used indoors or outdoors to cover an old fence, accent a wall or create a privacy screen, we wanted to show you 5 other ways to incorporate bamboo to any current home decor.

Bamboo Blinds

Whether your decor is rustic, classic, modern or zen, Bamboo blinds are inexpensive and add a very understated and relaxed accent to your decor.  Bamboo blinds are woven to allow the soft penetration of light to add a bit of warmth to any room, and can also be creatively paired with your favorite curtains or window trimmings.

Bamboo Accents

Perfect for the individual who wants to add an organic articulation to the home without the attention required for real plants.  Size and scale rely on your creativity and the space that you would like to emphasize on.  Bamboo poles either firmly pitted into the ground and towering against a wall, or just placed in your favorite pottery, adds natural flare while complimenting modern contemporary design.

Liven Your Work Area

While some of us may lack the talents or the green thumb required to keep vegetation alive, Bamboo is relatively easy to take care of.  Liven the typical monochromatic grey cubicle  by adding a cluster of bamboo in a glass vase.

Create a Unique Centerpiece

Bamboo truly does have an infinite amount of possibilities.  If you have extra large round bamboo poles around, you can cut them at different lengths and use them to create a visual landscape for a corner table, desk or dinner centerpiece.  Simple accents such as flowers, herbs, smooth rocks or shells, can be cupped in the center and add a little bit of style to a setting.

Showcase Your Food

If you've ever caught an episode of Iron Chef or any other Food Network show, most chefs showcase their food on neutral or white plating so that the food is the star.  The same goes for your table setting, bamboo place settings may be minimalistic, but the delicate textures and organic color will emphasize your plating and allow for your food to stand out.

Whether it is tropical decor or a zen garden that you seek, Bamboo can be utilized to compliment almost any decorative style.
